International Students

Greetings from Oak Grove! Thank you for your interest in our school. Oak Grove Lutheran School is a private school founded in 1906. Our campus rests amidst a beautiful park setting along the Red River in Fargo, North Dakota. Fargo is a safe, peaceful community with top rated colleges, universities and excellent medical facilities. Our area is known for its friendly people with good, Midwestern values.

Oak Grove has a proven reputation for academic quality and successful education provided by a caring and committed teaching staff. We offer an exciting and diverse learning experience within a Christian environment that broadens the education of young men and women from all over the world. The school’s strong academic program prepares students for entry into colleges and universities across the United States.

Enrollment: 464students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12; 13 international students from 7 different countries

Accreditation: Fully accredited academic program, maintaining NCA-CASI accreditation with high standards for excellence since 1926. “Accredited with Commendation” from the State of North Dakota, achieving 100% of all required standards.

Campus: Beautiful wooded setting covering 5.3 acres.  Five major buildings comprise the campus. Located in the Fargo-Moorhead area, population 174,000.

International Coordinator: An international coordinator is available to assist all international students with matters relating to academic and personal concerns. Orientation for new students is planned for each semester to help students adjust to Oak Grove Lutheran School, the metro area, and life in the United States. Individual tutorials, classroom support and ESL instruction are provided.

Housing: Residential Home Stay Program. Caring and nurturing host families provide an American experience for students. Application required.

Special Chapel Message

Reservation Card Reminder

Oak Grove Lutheran School families, grades Pre-Kindergarten through grade 7: Remember to return your 2010-2011 reservation card and deposit to the Admissions Office by February 5.  Oak Grove requires a reservation card for students in K-8 in the 2010 school year to appropriately plan for staffing, classrooms and supplies.  Please indicate on the card if you will be returning in the fall and enclose the required deposit if returning.  The deposit will be applied to your tuition in the fall.
