Reservation Card Reminder - Jan 6, 10

Oak Grove Lutheran School families, grades Pre-Kindergarten through grade 7: Remember to return your 2010-2011 reservation card and deposit to the Admissions Office by February 5.  Oak Grove requires a reservation card for students in K-8 in the 2010 school year to appropriately plan for staffing, classrooms and supplies.  Please indicate on the card if you will be returning in the fall and enclose the required deposit if returning.  The deposit will be applied to your tuition in the fall.

Any questions on the reservation card or if you need another card, please contact Director of Admissions Terry Haus at 701.373.7114.

Mark your calendar for Oak Grove's spring visit days!  Come see all that Oak Grove has to offer by attending a Buddy Day or Open House event.

Students attending Buddy Days must register in advance with the Office of Admissions.  The number of students visiting per grade at the elementary school (K-5) is limited for each Buddy Day as classroom space is limited.  Buddy Days are great ways to experience life as a Grover and see the school from the inside-out!

Oak Grove has launched an innovative program, the Health & Wellness Initiative, to include comprehensive, individualized wellness teaching and planning into the academic curriculum.  For the initiative, Oak Grove built the Ellig Center for Health & Wellness.  The Ellig Center will be the key venue for the school’s Health & Wellness Initiative.  The initiative introduces comprehensive wellness programming, individualized student wellness plans, flexible physical education courses and year-round opportunities, and the use of technology to integrate health and wellness concepts into core academic courses.  The initiative focuses on seven pillars of wellness – spiritual, physical, emotional, social, vocational, environmental, and intellectual – and is designed to improve the overall health of students through deliberate and consistent attention.  For more information about the Ellig Center, click here.

Oak Grove hosts before and after school programming at the elementary school, offered through and directed by the YMCA.  Before school programming begins at 7 a.m. and runs until school starts.  After school programming begins when school ends and runs until 6 p.m.  Read on for more information.
