Elementary Mathletes are High Achievers

Oak Grove offered three math competitions to elementary students this year! Students worked hard to sharpen their math skills throughout the school year.

The Math Kangaroo Team ranked in the top 3 for North Dakota, and the top 20 nationwide. This international competition challenges students with creative problem-solving tasks and word problems.

In the Continental Math League, Grover students in grades 2 – 6 demonstrated their strong analytical thinking! A special congratulations goes to 5th grader Ira L, who earned a National Award for her exceptional performance.

The Math Masters teams – composed of 4th and 5th graders – competes locally against other schools and had a successful season. One team brought home 4th place at a meet, and Ira L. earned first place individually and 3rd place in Fact Drill.

At Oak Grove, teachers and students are committed to academic excellence. As the longest-accredited private school in North and South Dakota, we take pride in offering a curriculum that challenges students and nurtures their growth. These math achievements are a testament to the strength of our programs.

Way to go, Grovers!
