After 20 years, Oak Grove says farewell to longtime principal

After 20 years of service to Oak Grove, Principal Josh Kading has discerned a call to serve in a leadership position at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo.

Over the years, he has been a student, an alumni, a sibling, a coach, a substitute teacher, a teacher, a principal, and a parent of Oak Grove. We have been blessed to have him leading our elementary school for the past 14 years, and he has impacted the lives of countless students.

Reflecting on his time at Oak Grove, Josh said “I have been sincerely blessed over the past 21 years to serve Oak Grove Elementary School.  It has been a true honor.  Especially these last 14 as its principal.  I have shared a lifetime of experiences with some of the greatest people who I will ever get the chance to come across.  Oak Grove has had such a positive impact on my life, dating back to my time as a student starting in the fall of 1994.have thoroughly enjoyed the relationships made, and the sense of community that is here at Oak Grove.  “

Oak Grove is deeply grateful for Kading’s years of service, and we pray for him as he begins an exciting new chapter.

During this transition period, elementary interventionist Nicole Swanson will serve as interim principal,  ensuring the experience of our students is uninterrupted.
