Carol (Ysteboe) Lindsay graduated from Oak Grove in 1945, earning the honor of class valedictorian. She graduated from Concordia College in 1951 and went on to work for Lutheran Social Services as a caseworker from 1951 – 1957. In 1968 she accepted the position of secretary to the president at Oak Grove and later worked in the development office. She also served on the Centennial Committee. Carol was affectionately known as the Oak Grove “historian” as her grandfather was involved in the formation of Oak Grove Lutheran Ladies Seminary in 1906. Carol has taught Sunday School and vacation Bible school and also served as Sunday School superintendent and president of the WELCA.
