The 1969 boys’ basketball team, coached by Darwin Gorder and Dennis Kalpin, finished their championship season with a perfect 26-0 record. The 1969 Boys State Class B Basketball Champion Title is the first state championship that Oak Grove achieved in any sport. Members of the 1969 team reflect fondly on their camraderie as a team. They made sacrifices for the good of the whole and always had good Christian fellowship and edifying humor.
