Jeff Dutton

1983 Oak Grove graduate Jeff Dutton’s time as an Oak Grove student is remembered by many. During his senior year alone, Jeff’s extensive involvement made a memorable impact. As part of the

1982 – 1983 football team, he helped bring Oak Grove to their first ever state championship victory. In basketball, where he was well-known for his famous dunks, Jeff was an all-conference letterman. He also won the award of Most Dedicated Player.

In spring 1983, Jeff beat his own school record to set a new best of 6’4″ in the high jump. This record remained until 1990.

Outside of sports, Jeff was also heavily involved, taking part in concert choir, newspaper, theatre, and homecoming court. Exemplifying the Oak Grove value of service, he participated in Rotary, National Honor Society, and student council.
