During his high school career, Dave was a member of the Concert Choir, a three year varsity basketball letterman and was captain of the team his senior year. In 1954, Dave was named to the All District, All Region and All State tournament teams.
Following graduation, Dave served two years in the US Army and graduated from Concordia College. He married Elaine (Ysteboe) Vold, also from the class of 1954. Dave served as a teacher and coach for 32 years in Hatton, N.D and is very active in his church and community. Oak Grove is a special place where Dave grew in his faith and received a great education. He was given the opportunity to participate in a variety of things and made many life long friends. Dave is thankful for the dedicated staff that make this a special place.
