As a student at Oak Grove, Glen was captain of the basketball team, played football and ran track. He was also involved in the Choral club and served as student council vice president. Glen went on to graduate from Concordia College. He served two years in the US Army and then made a 34 year career of coaching and teaching. Glen has earned many honors in his career such as; Basketball Conference Coach of the Year, National H.S. Coaching award, Wisconsin Basketball Achievement awards, Athletic Director of the Year and was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame and the Mercer School Hall of Fame. Glen lists accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as his number one achievement while a student at Oak Grove and says the things that have stayed with him are the memories of his coaches, classmates and teammates.
