David Todd

David Todd graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran School in 1984. While a students at Oak Grove, he participated and lettered in wrestling and football, and was a member of the 1982 State Championship Football Team. He was a member of the chapel and concert choirs, band and was part of the State Star Brass Quintet. David served as Student Body President during the 1983 – 84 school year and was a member of the Homecoming Court. He was also active in Fellowship for Christian Athletes. David went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is a graduate of the 223rd class at the FBI National Academy. He also completed the Law Enforcement Executive Development course and curriculum from the FBI. In 1987 he started work with the Fargo Police Department as a police officer and has been assigned in every division within the police department during his service. David was named Interim Chief for the Fargo Police Department in 2014 and was appointed officially Chief of Police in 2015. David Todd credits the wonderful teachers and coaches he had at Oak Grove for believing in him and giving him the courage to do his best. “It is the investment into the mission made by faculty and those that support the school that have shaped and prepared for me for my path in life,” according to David.
