Living the Mission

George Korsmo

George Korsmo graduated from Oak Grove in 1970. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Concordia College in 1974 before receiving his professional training at the University of Minnesota in mortuary science. A former junior and senior class president at Oak Grove, George served on the Board of Regents from 1994 – 2004 and was chairman for five years. He led during a difficult time in which two critical events changed Oak Grove: recovering from the flood of 1997 and closing the dorm in 2002. Serving beside a talented leadership group, George felt the Lord blessed their service and directed them, and Oak Grove, in new and exciting ways.
