Malvina Moe

Malvina (Berntson) Moe graduated from Oak Grove in 1947. She attended Lutheran Deaconess School of Nursing where she received her R.N. After working in Grafton and later at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo, she accepted the school nurse position at Oak Grove in 1957 where she served for 25 years. Malvina was a nurse and surrogate mother to more than 100 dorm students each year. Malvina helped organize the Oak Grove Bazaar and was somewhat famous for the rommegrot produced with friends every year. Active in her church, she served as president of WELCA and Circle.
