Dr. Susan Vitalis graduated from Oak Grove in 1979 as class valedictorian. Graduating from Concordia College in 1983 with a biology major and chemistry minor, she went on to receive her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1987. Susan has conducted medical research, written for numerous publications, been guest speaker and lecturer and literally travelled the world to serve and care for others. She received the Concordia College Alumni Achievement Award and was elected as a lifetime honorary member to the Omnicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society based on superior service to others and outstanding academic achievement.
