The Oak Grove Experience

Shared values, much like a mission statement, are meant to be timeless in their reflection of the organization’s character and culture. When Oak Grove is shining brightest, when we are at our best, the atmosphere and culture that carries us to those heights should be most clearly seen through the
shared values.

Aimee Zachrison_web

Welcome Aimee Zachrison!

This coming school year Mrs. Zachrison will be our Middle School's new principal.

Oak Grove Lutheran School is pleased to announce that Aimee Zachrison will be filling the Middle School Principal position left open by Nancy Weber. Aimee brings enthusiasm and 20 years of educational experiences to her position.  “I am very excited to become a Grover!”

Aimee grew up in North Dakota, graduating from Bottineau High School and Jamestown College, now University of Jamestown, and she earned a Masters of Education from University of Sioux Falls.  She is married to Dayne Zachrison, a pastor at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City, and they have one daughter Camille, a fourth-grader.

Aimee has taught English in Nebraska and South Dakota, and before becoming an assistant principal at Watertown High School in Watertown, SD, she was the head of the Alternative Education department there.  Her most recent teaching position was at Valley City High School as the Individualized Learning Center Coordinator.   “I have had many experiences in education and value them all, but I am very eager to start this new chapter with Oak Grove.  I will be pleased to meet each one of you in the coming months, and I am looking forward to our time together as the Oak Grove family.”

Parent Stories

Students are able to explore a variety of extracurricular activities.

Errol & Cheri Schoenfish, Oak Grove parents

Our children have been able to explore theatre, basketball, choir and speech all at the same time. This chance to try a variety of activities allows the student the time to discover what they love and who they are. Another reason we chose Oak Grove was that the teachers are able to interact more with the students on a daily basis, which make the experience so much stronger. We feel that Oak Grove has helped to shape our kids faith, values, and has given them a strong grounding in the importance of service to our community and the world around them.

I Am Oak Grove

Building a Strong Foundation

Building a Strong Foundation

Integrating Christian faith instruction into the curriculum of both the Early Learning Center and the Elementary School builds a strong foundation for the students starting at a very young age.  Each student is also involved in at least one community service project per year, which nurtures an orientation to service leadership.
