Return to the Forbidden Planet
A Cosmic Comedy Musical That’s Out Of This World.
by Bob Carlton
Family Friendly Musical - Silly Sci-Fi spoof, not scary.
Forbidden Planet was a throw back to a different time. A golden age of 1950’s B-Movie Sci-Fi at it’s finest. Return to the Forbidden Planet is the story of a spaceship, a captain, a girl, a mad scientist, and a robot. This silly show is (loosely) based on Shakespeare’s the tempest and throws the crew into a rock n’ roll comedy space ride filled with love, danger, (and a giant space monster). In this musical you will hear such memorable songs as: Great Balls of Fire, Who’s Sorry Now, Monster Mash, Good Vibrations, and Young Girl just to name a few. Please fasten your seat belts and join us for this delightfully strange and hilarious journey!

Errol & Cheri Schoenfish, Oak Grove parents
Our children have been able to explore theatre, basketball, choir and speech all at the same time. This chance to try a variety of activities allows the student the time to discover what they love and who they are. Another reason we chose Oak Grove was that the teachers are able to interact more with the students on a daily basis, which make the experience so much stronger. We feel that Oak Grove has helped to shape our kids faith, values, and has given them a strong grounding in the importance of service to our community and the world around them.
The more I grew to know the people at Oak Grove, the more I realized it was bringing out the best in me. I learned a lot about myself and I really came out of my shell. Oak Grove really let me try everything. I've had so many great opportunities to get involved in a lot of different groups like Choir, Key Club, and Chapel Board. Oak Grove also made it possible to be in Track, Baseball, and Basketball. I have found meaning and purpose in sports and I am going to be certified in coaching Basketball and Baseball next year through my experiences at Oak Grove.
The mission of Oak Grove Lutheran School is to express God’s love by nurturing students for academic achievement, lifelong Christian commitment and loving service throughout the world.

Building a Strong Foundation
Integrating Christian faith instruction into the curriculum of both the Early Learning Center and the Elementary School builds a strong foundation for the students starting at a very young age. Each student is also involved in at least one community service project per year, which nurtures an orientation to service leadership.
